General Membership Meetings for the Idaho Gourd Society are held twice a year; the second Saturday of April and the second Saturday of October. Meetings are at the Woodcraft Store in Boise.
In addition we have a fun filled Annual Picnic in July, our state Gourd Festival on October 22nd & 23rd, 2016 and our annual Christmas Party in December.
The IDGS is proud to participate in the annual Idaho Artistry in Wood Show along with the woodworkers, scrollers, carvers, and turners of the Treasure Valley. This fun event takes place in February.
New workshops, field trip, and start-to-finish classes will be announced when scheduled.
Monthly Patch Meetings
Where do gourds come from? How many kinds of gourds are there? What kind of paints can I use? How do you dry gourds? How do you clean gourds? You’ll find plenty of answers at the meetings and workshops.
